Curtains London was founded back in 1990 by Michael Moore. Michael learnt his skills training as a upholsterer in his fathers factory. A family business that ran for 50 years. Textiles have been in the family business for over 70 years, with Michael’s granddad who started off the skill covering furniture and passing it on to his son, Don Moore & Then to Michael.

Passionate about design, Michael set up his own curtain business after realising his forte back in the late 80′s. Building up a strong business sense and realising that quality, service and delivery on time, with a passion for detail was indeed the steps towards a successful business.

With the internet becoming the new way we searched & shopped. Michael bought the name curtainslondon.com alongside his other curtain business and started trading in and around London. The company has grown from strength to strength and has become one of London’s top curtain company’s.

Curtains London work with every types of client, from one window to a whole house, to a whole hotel. No job really is to small or to large.

We work with everyone . We have done work for, Sirs & Dames. The Royal household. The President of the United States (Madame Tussauds) E. bay, Vodafone, Hard Rock, Hippodrome, Mandarin Orient hotel and many many more. Most of our work is for residential clients.

10 years ago Curtains London introduced a very important member of the team. Lesley Temple. Michael & Lesley work as a team on most projects, their hands on approach is unique.

Michael and Lesley control each project with the support of their team, assuring you of a personal one on one service at all times. “It’s not just another job ! it’s personal for us. Meet The Team

MICHAEL MOORE

Co Owner

Michael has been in the curtain industry for over 30+ years. Although he would say he doesn't not look old enough. Lol..He says he always wanted to run his own business and now does so in one of the greatest cities in the world. " I love London !! it's an amazing place to work. We meet some wonderful people and go to some Lovely Homes & Help transform them into something special just by adding curtains it finishes a house and makes it home. My Teams Ideas & Designs are very special. We're very lucky. 'if you strive to be better at something every single day, you will get better at it! That's what I have always believed in. Hard work, good customer service, and a great team. My team are so friendly and they care, which shows in our relationships with our clients".

LESLEY TEMPLE

Lesley has been with the team for over 10 years now. She is a great addition to the company. She comes from an accountancy background and once had her own business with over 50 employees. This gave way to becoming a mother. She joined Curtains London back in 2004 after studying soft furnishings. She was a huge asset from the moment she started. Her knowledge for the curtain industry is now 2^nd to none and her positive attitude and amazing organisation skills has helped make Curtains London one of London’s top curtain company’s.

BEVERLEY

Head Curtain Maker

Beverley is our top curtain maker and has been in the curtain industry for over 35 years. Her skills are all learnt from the original days when everything was done with skills that have been passed down. Beverley oversees our teams of girls and she has taught the girls the art of fine sewing. Sometimes there are so many new fabrics that behave in weird and wonderful ways and if we feel they need some TLC then we speak to the master. Her experience is amazing and having that sort of knowledge makes all the difference.

SHARRON MOORE

Sharron is part of the original team. Back in the day she worked in Michael’s fathers company and used to organise all of the factory and staff until he moved to Thailand. She ran the showroom and dealt with the clients. When Sharron joined the team 5 Years ago, Curtains London went from strength to strength, and Michael & Lesley needed someone who knew the business and could add that special something. Michael says “We needed a new team member who had experience and I heard Sharron was working somewhere else. So I asked her if she would consider getting back into a family business? ” Well the rest is history. Sharron who I'm sure you will talk to when you call is such a friendly, helpful person. Nothing is to much trouble. So say hello to her when you call in.

"Bo"

Bo Beautiful as we know her, is our newest member and is a gorgeous addition to our team. She has a lovely nature and is the softest sweetest little girl. At curtains london we love our dogs and they have a great area to run around all day.

Most of the time she is to be found snuggled up under one of our desks in the warm and waiting for one of us to throw a ball for her or feed her a treat. I'm sure you will agree that her pink collar just suits her colour beautifully. We have designed some schemes using similar colours with great success. So if you call you may here her in the background. xx

STORM & FLASH

Curtains London security

Here at Curtains London we are all animal lovers. As our workrooms are set in an acre of beautiful countryside we have lots of room for our dogs /security to run around.

Storm has been with Curtains London now for 13 years & has been a great companion, Flash has been with us for 7 years. So, if you call our workrooms you may sometimes hear them letting us know we have a delivery.
